I may have been fooled. I am not sure if it yet. I may have been fooled into believing that the Baptists for Brownback was a real site, and in fact it may be a satire page.
If it is a satire page, well good job folks, you got me. I am man enough to admit it. If your not a satire page, well, we know how I feel then.
I am still bugger by the whole thing though. Kilt wearing men have enough bull crap to deal with than to read that kinda tripe. Also real Baptists should be super peeved by the work of these folks, satire or not.
I love satire, but I love satire more when I can tell it’s a joke. Just a little note somewhere on the page would have been nice. Then I could laugh, and go on with my day.
Being that I am not a Republican, I would not have voted for Brownback any way, so the point of trying to make people hate him won’t help in my case.
I have that sorta empty feeling in my belly now. I still will do my piece on them in the podcast, and that will be that.
I will not be going to their site once I have written my bit.
If anyone knows for sure that their site is satire, I would really like to know. I would like to buy them a cookie for fooling me fair and square.

It is rather elaborate for a satire site. Making fun of zealots is just too easy, it shouldn’t take that much work. Unless the thing is run by the Klu-Klux-Klan, it has to be a joke. Frightening as it may be, if it isn’t a joke…it is still a joke and we should all treat it as such. I would never be disrespectful to a REAL Christian or Muslim or Jew or race or nationality because I don’t believe in bigotry of any kind except bigotry against bigots and hypocrites. So yea, either way, it is perfectly fine to let the Baptists for Brownback be on the recieving end of all the abuse we can muster.
I was sort of mad about it as well, but then i realized I was mad for being so gullible. I agree it is an awful elaborate scheme for making fun of Brownback and his ilk. But hey, ultra conservative christians actually can be this ridged in their beliefs, so why not poke fun at them? Just my two cents…
