Interested in a career info

November 10th, 2008 by Kilted Eric

I an attempting to answer a question I asked myself, and I need help on finding the information.

I am interested in seeking work in a Human resources field, but one with a more specific intention. What I am looking for would be a job that my duties would be to help make employees lives happier.  Recreation and Moral basically.

I have heard stories of companies with staff whose job it is to brighten up people’s days, to reward, and support.  Kind of like a concierge at a hotel.  My job would be to find and to know different activities in the area that employees would find interesting.  From sports, arts, food, music, to activities for families and their children.  Activities that could include helping out communities and involvement in the neighborhoods employees live in.

Now to break the questions down a bit more.

Q: Is there such positions of employment?

Q: What kinda of educational requirements would be required for said positions?

Q: Where are resources where I can start looking?

Election 2008

November 4th, 2008 by Kilted Eric

My son was born under what I believe to be the worst President ever.  I have been filled with so much angst and unbelievibal dislike of that man for so long now, that to tell the truth, I am still stunned by Obama’s win.

My Son will now be living in a time of Hope.  I am so pleased.  Not so much for me, but for Ryan.  Obama’s win paves the way for more hope, diveristy, and acceptance in America and I hope The World.

Thank you everybody who voted, who took a chance, who believes in change, who believes in the future of my / OUR children.

Yours in a state of sentimentality,

So here I sit at school. I forgot to sign up for todays placement test. That was dumb. Oh well. I bought my books and now I will study prep a bit for the test and then head to the other school and sign up for the French class. Thank goodness for technology. Otherwise I would be bored.

I am now running vista on my MacBook. It is kinds cool to run to OS on one machine. Reminds me of the old power pcs that apple put out.

Vista runs pretty smoothy on this machine. And my software fir class us good until march 31 2009. That’s nice.

So, with all of this new technology I have been thinking about writing a bit more, and even toying with do a “This Kilted Life” show once in a while.  This time it would be on camera!  Kinda crappy web cam, but it could be fun.

Humm, i could do something with the “Go ask your father” idea too.  Many thoughts.

New Gear

August 31st, 2008 by Kilted Eric

I recieved via the good people of FedEx my brand spanking new MacBook and an iPod Touch! I wanted a laptop for school and this was a great great price for the power.

One great advantage of the iPod is I can write blog posts and upload them as long as I have WiFi access.

So in theory I will be posting more often.

Are you happy now? I know I am.

Oh and Rory, I should have pics soon.

Posted from the bus riding home.
